Providing hope through Agriculture

God has blessed us with fertile soils that can grow everything we need for food. Lasting Smiles Uganda therefore chose this as a sustainability option to feed the children and other vulnerable members of the community.

We started farming in 2020 and over the years it has been a great relief to our tight feeding budget and especially now (March 2022) where we have seen an unprecedented rise in fuel prices and consequently all commodity prices.

We now have a school farm where we grow sweet potatoes, cabbages, corn, watermelons, cassava, beans and tomatoes. These are a great enhancement to the children’s diet and ensure they can have a balanced diet
