Providing hope through education support

Lasting Smiles Uganda provides an education to underprivileged and vulnerable children of Kyajja community.

Education is one of the main pillars/objectives of Lasting Smiles Uganda because we believe when a child receives an education they have hope for a better future and can break the cycle of generational poverty that they have known their entire lives

It is not uncommon to find a 17-year old boy who did not go to school, with a family of 5 children and more on the way just surviving on wages from odd jobs. Since he did not get an education himself, chances are he will not prioritize it for his children which number is even to high for him to manage financially.

There are also so many children that have been left with their grandparents due to losing (death) their bread-winner (father), young parents going to the capital to earn a living and in most cases they can only support themselves thereby leaving the burden of taking care of their children with their aged parents who also need help.
