Delivering
Lasting smiles, and a path to a better future, for the children of Kyajja, Uganda.
It's a mission with earthly impact and eternal significance.
Supporting education and innovation.
Lasting Smiles Uganda was born as a result of Pastor Semei Ziva answering God’s call for his life “To show love to a hurting world.” Knowing at a young age that he had God’s call upon his life, Semei volunteered at his local church in diverse capacities with a hunger so desperate to show love to those hurting. He traveled on evangelistic missions around Africa. It was on one of these missions that he became so concerned about the dire situations he would find – unclothed and hungry children in need of medical attention. He then knew God had touched his heart and he had to do something to help underprivileged people.
Child Protection
The provision of a safe environment to protect children from kidnap, abuse, child labor, rape, violence, and defilement.
Health
Improve Health services by establishing a Health Center in Kyajja Community and will work with partners in the health sector on improvements in family health practices.
Education
Quality and inclusive education from Nursery to Secondary level education by promoting enrollment and retention through parents and community engagements. LSU will expand upon its existing Pre-Primary and Primary School adding a Secondary School and occupational training for those students who are now beginning to reach high school age.
Agriculture
Establish a sustainable demonstration school farm with the aim of providing food for the school but also train community members on best farming practices, hence promoting economic empowerment.
Discipleship
The children and the community members will be drawn to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ as the ultimate transforming tool physically and spiritually.
Make a donation.
We need your help. 100% of our funding comes from individual donors. We do not receive any funding from government or outside agencies. We are a beautiful community, supported by loving doors around the world.
Please consider two forms of giving:
A recurring monthly contribution. It costs approximately $20,000 per month to run the school and we need monthly contributions to support our ongoing efforts.
A One-Time Capital Contribution For 2023 we have a number of capital needs. Would you consider a gift to any of the following items?
